Highlights of 2022
As we come to the end of 2022, we’re looking back at some of the very best of an excellent crop of Cornish property. With so many highlights to choose from, this selection of fine Cornish homes illustrates a snapshot of what we do and certainly makes the most of the breath-taking Cornish landscape in which we are privileged to live and work.
It has been a real pleasure to handle the sale of each and every Cornish home we exchanged on this year, and we’re looking forward to another busy year in 2023.

One of the fantastic apartments in Trenarren House became our first sale of the year in 2022, and by mid-December we’d seen all five apartments into the hands of delighted new owners. An example of truly outstanding Cornish property, Trenarren House comprises six luxury apartments, each with three bedrooms, a spacious open plan living area, and underfloor heating throughout, all set within level grounds just a stone’s throw from the coast path, spa hotel and golf club. Balconies and terracing provide new owners with ample opportunity to soak up the panoramic sea views.
The response to this landmark new development was incredible, with each of the five apartments going from first enquiry to exchange of contracts within the space of five months.
Over in Devoran on the banks of Restronguet Creek, we sold Creek View, another excellent new build. With direct water access from terraced gardens and a highly desirable creekside village location, Creek View will provide its new owners with a fantastic base from which to enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer. A large decked area looks out across the water with a sunken hot tub and plenty of storage for paddle boards and kayaks. Inside, an imaginatively designed interior offers light and spacious living space. An idyllic Cornish home.
In Falmouth, we handled the sale of Kinbrae House, a set of boutique holiday apartments that had been listed for some time with another agent without success. Kinbrae House is a beautiful detached Edwardian villa, a short walk from popular Gyllyngvase Beach and its award-winning cafe and restaurant.
With lots of potential as a family home as well as self-catering apartments, we marketed the property as both residential and commercial to maximise the chance of a sale for the owners. Soon, we saw the property through a successful change of use back to residential, into a single-family home as it was when it was built in 1904.
On the edge of the village of Carnon Downs, we exchanged contracts on Ford End, a gorgeous country home tucked away in the small rural hamlet of Quenchwell. Enjoying a peaceful, traffic-free, and secluded position between Truro and Falmouth, this is a true Cornish property gem. Peaceful cycle trails are close at hand, with excellent sailing waters and marinas nearby in Falmouth and Mylor. Set within tranquil level gardens approaching an acre, Ford End is a charming, peaceful and spacious countryside home with all the convenience of vibrant town and city just a short drive away.
In May we listed The Grange, a fabulous barn conversion in the idyllic rural hamlet of Treviades, and by December saw it into the hands of delighted new owners. Located near the north bank of the Helford River, The Grange enjoys a peaceful position overlooking some of Cornwall’s most beautiful countryside, and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Constantine and Port Navas are nearby with plenty of riverside walks, ancient woodland and excellent sailing opportunities in the surrounding areas.
We are honoured to have handled the successful marketing and sale of this wonderful Cornish property sold for the first time in 27 years.
In November we completed on 3 Netherfield, Probus. This low-impact, energy efficient home is located on the edge of Probus and the Roseland peninsula, enjoying the tranquillity and privacy of village living with all the advantages of easy access to Truro, the surrounding countryside and the breathtaking south Cornish coastline.
Netherfield is a high-quality modern development set within private gated grounds, thoughtfully designed to maximise space, light and views of the peaceful countryside around. Just three of these superb Cornish homes were available for sale, all completed between February and November 2022.
The Mill House
In September we sold The Mill House in Veryan/Pendower, an idyllic slice of rural Cornish bliss sold for the first time in 24 years. This property received an incredible amount of interest, with almost 40 viewings and nine offers in a very short space of time and contracts exchanged just six weeks after listing.
Set peacefully at the end of a long, private drive just a short walk from Pendower Beach, this charming cottage and annexe enjoys lush grounds of around seven acres including fields, woodland, wild meadows, and streamside gardens. A real sanctuary, this luxury Cornish home is tucked away in a secluded wooded valley within an area of outstanding natural beauty with quiet creeks, golden beaches and spectacular coastal scenery on the doorstep.
