Shore Partnership Highlights – August 2026
A very hot and sunny August had us feeling lucky to be living in Cornwall. It seems that many of you feel the same way, as we completed on a good number of sales this month, seeing some beautiful homes into the happy hands of new buyers and, as always, doing absolutely everything we can to make the sale process as smooth and stress-free as possible for our buyers and sellers. Read on for our August highlights.
Homes in Cornwall for sale in August
Near Falmouth, we listed Anneth Lowen in Mabe, an unusual opportunity combining a family home with an established lifestyle business. The beautifully presented detached and extended house is accompanied by a small campsite with serviced electric pitches, two shepherd’s huts and dedicated guest facilities. Set within approximately an acre of established, level grounds, the property enjoys wide-reaching views towards Argal Reservoir, Falmouth Bay and The Lizard peninsula, while remaining well placed for Falmouth, the northern Helford area and surrounding countryside.
In west Cornwall, we brought Beckerleg Barn at Trevurvas to market. Completed in 2020, this beautifully appointed barn conversion lies close to Praa Sands and the coastline around Rinsey Head. At the centre of the accommodation is an impressive open-plan living space with a vaulted ceiling, complemented by two double bedrooms and two bath/shower rooms. A private courtyard-style garden and off-road parking complete this appealing coastal property, which could work equally well as a permanent home, holiday home or investment.
We also listed an elegant first-floor apartment in Carbis Bay. With two bedrooms, thoughtfully designed interiors and attractive period detailing, the property offers a stylish base for enjoying the west Cornwall coast. Allocated parking and use of the lawned gardens add practicality, while the gardens themselves enjoy wonderful sea views.
Cornish property sold in August
Near Constantine, we completed the sale of Longbarn, a converted barn at Tresahor in the south Cornish countryside between Falmouth and the Helford River. The four-bedroom main residence is joined by two holiday cottages, all within 1.6 acres of level gardens, established lawns and a productive kitchen garden. Reached along a private lane, Longbarn offered its new owners a winning combination of space, privacy and versatility.
On the rural edge of Truro, we completed the sale of Rosella at Penweathers. This characterful country cottage feels wonderfully secluded among its established gardens and greenery, despite being just over a mile from the city. Inside are four double bedrooms and generous living spaces, while a double garage, substantial workshop and dedicated home office add plenty of practical space. “Without a doubt the best agents we have ever used. Tim, Ben and the team are extremely professional, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. The house went under offer very quickly, but it was the ongoing work Tim did to progress the sale, keeping everyone in the chain engaged and keeping us informed every step of the way which ensured the sale completed relatively quickly. Selling a house is always stressful, but having a good agent makes it a whole lot easier. We would highly recommend Shore Partnership.”
We were particularly pleased to conclude the sale of Meudon Farm, positioned between Maenporth and Mawnan Smith, as the property changed hands for the first time in more than 75 years. Originally the principal Georgian farmhouse of the surrounding land, the house requires complete refurbishment and gives its new owners the opportunity to restore a traditional home in a very special part of south Cornwall. We’re delighted to have played a part in the next chapter of its long history.
In Ponsanooth, we handled the first sale in almost 32 years of an impressive home close to Perranwell Station and conveniently positioned between Falmouth and Truro. With more than 4,500 sq ft of flexible accommodation arranged over four floors and around an acre of private, level gardens, this was a substantial family home and a particularly satisfying sale to complete.
Finally, in Truro, we sold The Pines near Boscawen Park. Set within mature gardens of around half an acre, this much-improved Cornelius-designed home offered generous living space, views towards the park and a peaceful position between Truro and Malpas. Another successful Truro sale, and another much-loved home passing into new hands.
