August highlights

As we come to the end of a glorious summer here in Cornwall, we’re feeling lucky to be living and working by the sea. We’ve been very busy with a really special selection of Cornish property: secluded countryside retreats, exciting renovation projects and some incredible family homes changing hands for the first time in decades. As ever, it’s a privilege to be trusted with such important milestones in our clients’ lives.

If this summer’s weather has you dreaming of a home in Cornwall, get in touch with us and we’ll help you find the perfect place (and if you’re thinking of buying, we’ve got plenty of eager buyers lined up).

Luxury homes for sale in Cornwall in August

We brought Hillside to market, a beautifully enhanced detached period residence in Idless, just a few minutes from Truro. Offering plentiful and adaptable living space, the property is positioned in 1.2 acres of superbly landscaped grounds that include a tennis court, studio and a range of outbuildings. An uncommon opportunity to enjoy a serene village environment and extensive amenities in close proximity to the city.

We were also delighted to introduce Treverva Farm, a superb lifestyle property set in more than 11 acres near the north Helford. At its heart is a four-bedroom farmhouse with sweeping outlooks across Argal Reservoir, surrounded by paddocks, fields, gardens and even a grass tennis court. The estate also includes sensitively converted stone barns that now provide a collection of successful holiday cottages, offering both a family home of real character and an established income stream.

Another superb introduction was The Upper Deck in Point, Feock. This distinctive five-bedroom home has been remodelled and thoughtfully designed, offering over 2,500 sq ft of beautifully arranged living space along with two garages, a superb home office and landscaped gardens occupying around a third of an acre. Located in a calm no-through road just moments from Penpol Creek, the property enjoys panoramic views across Restronguet Creek to the unspoilt Mylor countryside.

We have an renovation opportunity in Feock, enjoying an elevated position on a generous plot with sweeping views across the Carrick Roads. Backing onto open farmland, the property combines privacy with easy access to Loe Beach, its popular café and excellent sailing facilities. With planning permission already secured to extend and remodel, this project offers buyers the chance to create a bespoke home in one of south Cornwall’s most prestigious villages.

Finally, we have a spacious five-bedroom bungalow in Feock, unexpectedly available again due to a change in the buyer’s circumstances. Situated on a large and level site surrounded by mature trees and planting, the property combines seclusion with outstanding potential for refurbishment or redevelopment. Just a short walk from the village and the renowned sailing waters of the Carrick Roads, it’s perfectly placed for creekside walks, water sports and exploring the natural beauty of the Fal Estuary. A unique chance to secure a generous home in one of south Cornwall’s most prized coastal settings.

Cornish property sold in August

In August, we were delighted to complete the sale of a spacious and versatile family home in Truro. Built in 2006 and quietly positioned close to the city centre and Truro High School, this impressive residence offered up to five bedrooms, well-proportioned accommodation and seamless access to a south-facing terrace and garden.

We also exchanged contracts on the sale of a delightful double-fronted Victorian home in Devoran. Close to the heart of this ever-popular creekside community, the property offers bright and spacious interiors, long-ranging countryside outlooks, a well-stocked garden, garage, outbuildings and ample parking – a truly special home in our own village.

We were very pleased to complete the sale of Lanner Mill in Trispen, a fascinating family home sold for the first time in 23 years. Located in more than four acres of gardens and grounds, including a private lake, the property enjoys an unspoilt wooded valley setting between Truro and Idless. A countryside Cornish home offering a unique lifestyle opportunity just minutes from the city.

In Carbis Bay, we completed the sale of another apartment at The Sands, adding to the many successful transactions we’ve overseen at this in-demand development since 2020. This well-presented first-floor apartment offered two bedrooms, a sea-facing balcony and allocated parking, together with level access from the parking area. With wide coastal vistas towards St Ives and the open ocean, it provides a superb low-maintenance base in one of west Cornwall’s most desirable coastal settings.
