It’s always a real honour to handle the sale of family homes that are available for the first time in decades, and we’ve handled some really special property in that category this year so far. July was no exception. In July, we were delighted to complete the sale of Bute Cottage in Flushing, a beautifully renovated Victorian home that had been in our clients’ ownership for 25 years. Quietly nestled in the heart of this picturesque south Cornish village, the property combines period charm with thoughtful contemporary updates. A stylish two-storey extension and sun-filled kitchen/dining room open seamlessly onto a low-maintenance garden, creating a relaxed and inviting living space just moments from the water’s edge.
We also completed the sale of The Old Vicarage in Stithians, a distinctive Georgian-style home built using stone from the original village vicarage. Discreetly positioned in a quiet corner of the village, between Falmouth and Truro, the home offers generous, well-designed interiors, a garden studio, flowing indoor-outdoor spaces and a barbecue area ideal for summer entertaining. A beautifully private setting with timeless appeal, and now, the beginning of a new chapter for its delighted new owners.
We were pleased to oversee the sale of Trevounder, a much-loved family home in Tresowes Green, sold for the first time in over 37 years. Set within beautifully planted lakeside gardens and discreetly positioned in a quiet, traffic-free spot, this charming extended cottage offers a rare sense of tranquillity and seclusion. It was a privilege to be entrusted with the sale of such a special home, and we wish the new owners many happy years in this magical place.
We also completed the sale of Trerose Cottage at Point Green, a beautifully refurbished home in one of south Cornwall’s most sought-after creekside villages. River views from every bedroom, a sunny garden and a useful workshop make this a truly special home in an idyllic setting.

On the eastern side of Truro we listed a superb detached family home, thoughtfully remodelled and extended to a high standard.
