December highlights
Another year over! We’ve had a wonderfully busy 12 months, and we’ve seen some really special, unique, and beautiful Cornish homes pass through our hands here at Shore Partnership. Over the course of the year, we’ve achieved an average of 96.7% of the guide price with over 77% of our properties being sold as main homes.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone we worked with in 2024, from our fantastic clients to our brilliant suppliers and partners. Here’s to 2025, and all the exciting opportunities and challenges it’s sure to bring.
Sold in December
We were delighted to complete on the sale of the first of the open-market new build homes under construction in St Agnes. This scheme delivers much needed high-quality housing to St Agnes, with over half of the development allocated to shared ownership or affordable housing. There are 15 open market homes available, and all of Phase 1 has now been reserved. To enquire about Phase 2, please get in touch.
In Flushing, near Falmouth, we exchanged contracts on Kersey Cottage with a local buyer without the property ever making it to Rightmove – just six weeks after agreement. Previously a rental property, this charming cottage will now become the buyer’s main home: located within a short walk of the water, with Flushing’s cosy pubs and popular sailing club on the doorstep, we’re sure the new owner will be very happy here.
Our final sale of the year exchanged just in time for Christmas. The Old School House is a Grade 2 listed village home, nestled within the well-served and highly sought after village of Perranwell. The main residence holds three double bedrooms and plenty of bright, modern living space, and a beautifully fitted one bedroomed annexe offers additional accommodation with access to the decked pond side terrace. A deep front garden is planted as a wildflower meadow, and the generous rear garden is laid to lawn with mature borders and beds. The property also benefits from a timber garden studio set in a discreet position at the foot of the garden and used as a home office.
Cornish property for sale in December
In Devoran (between Falmouth and Truro), we have a delightful three-bedroomed mid-terraced Victorian home with south-westerly views across the nearby park. Located in a highly desirable setting along one of south Cornwall’s most picturesque terraces, this Cornish home is conveniently located for Falmouth and Truro, with lots of woodland walks and unspoilt countryside close by.
In Kenwyn, Truro, we listed a 4-storey townhouse available for the first time for over 20 years. Originally built in 1911 as Truro Cathedral School, this property features interesting and extensive accommodation extending to over 2,400 sq ft, with five bedrooms complemented by an elegant sitting room, play room or snug, garage and parking.
