August highlights
The Shore Partnership team were kept very busy in August: we listed some incredible property for sale in Cornwall and saw some very special Cornish homes into the hands of delighted new buyers. The Tall Ships Regatta took place in Falmouth this year and we spent a very happy, sunny weekend enjoying the sailing, sun and shoreside entertainment.
Property for sale in Cornwall in August
Between Falmouth and Truro in Perranarworthal, we were delighted to list for private sale a charming Georgian residence originally built as a Captain’s House for Perran Foundry. Set discretely within a quiet, level garden with a gated entrance, this distinctive double-fronted home has the appearance of a small manor house with all the classic proportions and detail you’d expect of a Georgian home. A very special example of a luxury Cornish home, modernised yet retaining all of its historic charm.
Apartment 6 in Trenarren House (Sea Road, Carlyon Bay) is the final unit to be made available for sale in this landmark new development. Comprising six luxurious apartment with panoramic south-facing sea views, Trenarren House is set within level grounds just a stone’s throw from the coast path, golf club, and beach. Apartment 6 is one of two penthouse apartments, with truly outstanding sea views. A perfect home or investment.
In the fabulous village of Flushing, we listed for sale a delightful two double bedroomed cottage, located in the heart of the village. Vibrant Falmouth is just across the river, a short drive or ferry trip away, with excellent sailing waters and beaches on the doorstep.
Luxury Cornish homes sold in August
In August, we exchanged contracts on a truly special property and piece of Cornish history: a Cornish engine house, renovated and converted into a characterful home. Enjoying far-reaching countryside views, over half an acre of wild gardens and two large terraces, this Cornish gem is well-positioned for the rugged north coast, with Falmouth and Truro a short drive away. There are only a handful of engine houses that have been converted to homes, and it was an honour to handle the sale of such a rare and beautiful example.
On the edge of Probus, we exchanged contracts on Trenoweth, a spacious family home set over three delightful floors. From its peaceful, traffic-free position, Trenoweth benefits from rolling countryside views, lots of light, and well-appointed interiors. Complete with self-contained guest apartment, this surprising Cornish home is sure to provide the new owners with many years of happiness.
In Penpol, Devoran, we completed the sale of Polmenna House, an exceptionally well-appointed home enjoying an elevated position near the head of Penpol Creek, a tributary of the Fal Estuary. With beautiful private gardens and incredible views across the water, Polmenna House was built to an extremely high standard and is well located for both Falmouth and Truro.
We also completed the sale of a fantastic former vicarage in St Gluvias, Penryn. Set within private grounds of 1 1/4 acres on the edge of Penryn, Lime Tree House retains all the Georgian detailing and original charm, with many comfortable modern touches. This excellent property is complemented by a two-storey coach house with residential consent.
Feedback on our Cornish property agency
This month we’re delighted to share some feedback from both sides of the sale of Polmenna House: both buyer and seller were kind enough to share their experience with some really lovely words.
What our client said: “During a period of tough market conditions when many other properties remain unsold and suffering price reductions, we were delighted that Shore Partnership found us the perfect buyer as soon as we had briefed Ben. He did a great job at describing and photographing the property which really captured the feel of it. The selling process proceeded smoothly and we are very pleased with the outcome.”
What the buyer said: “I would recommend Shore Partnership without hesitation. As a prospective purchaser, Ben really took time to listen to the type of house that I was looking for and found it for me! I was the first person to see the house and it was perfect. Ben’s patience and good humour during the process also ensured that the buying process proceeded seamlessly. I didn’t expect to have so much communication from a selling agent – but it was brilliant!! Never experienced such good service from an agent.”
